Brent Isaac and Kim Rullo, on location for the Pittsburgh Nude Project

• Who we are?

Isaac Rullo Conceptual Artistry is Brent Isaac and Kim Rullo: Two Pittsburgh-based conceptual artists searching for weird and wonderful ways communicate to the world through their art.

Why a blog site?

After weighing the pros and cons of having a “traditional” website, we felt this was the best, most cost-effective and personal way to express ourselves without technical or financial limitations.

Obligatory formal bio written in the third person

Artistic integrity, psychological exploration and creative expression is the common thread which binds all the works of Isaac Rullo Conceptual Artistry. Since their creative partnership began in 2003, Brent Isaac and Kim Rullo have created innovative projects that have been on display at numerous venues throughout the region. The Pittsburgh Nude Project™, their first large-scale venture combining film and photography, has been exhibited in The Andy Warhol Museum, the Blue Ruin Gallery, Club Café and the SouthSide Works.

Decades™ (their modern take on the vintage pinup) premiered at the inaugural event of The Meterroom. More recently Isaac Rullo and their pinup photography were asked to be the solo guest tribute of the Blue Ruin Gallery at a LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails) sponsored event. All of the above Isaac Rullo projects and exhibitions have been featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and the Pittsburgh City Paper.

Their short film “Circus of Self (Zircus des Zelbst)” debuted to rave reviews at Your Inner Vagabond in Lawrenceville during a Isaac Rullo circus/vaudeville themed benefit for the Hughes Syndrome Foundation and is now making its way to be presented on the festival circuit.

Most recently, Kim Rullo served as guest curator of “Do You Understand? Communication through Technology” at Future Tenant in Downtown Pittsburgh.
